Stress Reduction and Management: Take Control by Letting Go
Stress is not always a bad thing. Generally, most people associate stress with negative experiences and feelings of unpleasant arousal and overwhelm. Stress is a natural reaction to a changing, demanding environment. And that's ok, most of the time.But too much stress, or the wrong kind of stress, is a serious health issue.
My approach to stress reduction is based on mindfulness and insight. With practice, you will learn to let go of that need to get somewhere else, and accept being where and who you are, right here, right now. Together, we also will explore your inner world, identifying thinking patterns that may contribute to the stress response, and re-framing them. The payoff for this hard work is that your body and mind will become more adaptive to challenging situations.
